Thomas Brown, the owner of Thomas Brown, CPA, P.C. is a Certified Public Accountant that holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, a Masters Degree in Taxation and an M.B.A. in International Finance. He has been a CPA for over 20 years and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the NY State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Brown’s clients range from family owned business to large publicly traded corporations requiring Federal consolidated tax returns with tax filings in approximately 45 different states. He focuses on adding value to the tax return preparation process by identifying potential tax savings ideas and planning.
He has an extensive experience in providing FAS 109 and FIN 48 services and solutions to both public and large privately owned corporations. He has lectured on tax accounting topics. He has been granted a strategic alliance with TaxStream tax provision software company. This alliance is reserved for those firms with extensive experience using the TaxStream software which is used by many Fortune 100 companies. It provides for faster and more productive FAS 109 preparation with a much higher level of integrity.
Mr. Brown has spent over 10 years working with regional and international accounting firms along with holding positions as Corporate Tax Director.
Mr. Brown was a college professor, teaching auditing, accounting and tax courses at the bachelors and masters degree levels at The State University of New York at Stony Brook and St. Joseph’s College.
